English: Part of a complex that includes a wooden toy factory and a wildlife park, the Big Rocking Horse is situated in the Adelaide Hills town of Gumeracha. The Big Rocking Horse is one of over 150 Big Things in Australia, and was the fourth in a series of roadside attractions built on the site. It was designed by David McIntosh, and took eight months to build at a cost of over $100,000. Constructed out of steel, the structure stands at 18.3 metres (60 ft) in height with an overall length of 17 metres (56 ft), and weighs in the vicinity of 25 tonnes (25 LT; 28 ST). In spite of being considered to be the biggest rocking horse in the world, the Big Rocking Horse does not rock, and 80 tonnes of concrete were used to prevent it from doing so.
