Built February 1944.
Allocated US military serial 42-92648 but delivered directly to the RAF as KG437. Flew with 233sqn and saw action over Arnhem in September 1944 as part of operation ‘Market-Garden’.
Sold to BOAC in 1946, becoming G-AGYX. Later flew with BEA, Autair and United Libyan Airlines. Finally became 5N-ATA in Sudan, but by 1984 she was stored in Malta. Purchased in 1991 for use as a Bistro attraction and airframe dismantled. Eventually passed to the RAF Museum and nose restored by the Medway Aircraft Preservation Society, arriving at Hendon in January 2006.
