Notes: This picture is a photographic reproduction of a portrait made by Russian avant-garde artist Yury Annenkov (1889-1974).
Kliment Yefremovich Vorochilov (1881-1969) was a Soviet military officer and politician. Member of the Central Committee in 1921, he maintained his position until the 1960s. A close friend of Stalin, he played a role in the Great Purge of the 1930s, especially in the Red Army.
In this portrait, Yury Annenkov represented Kliment Vorochilov in a military uniform. The badges evoke the Order of the Red Banner. Two horses are sketched in the background.
The back of the document holds mention of the photographer:
