Requests for bot approvals

• Before requesting for approval of your bot, you have to:
  1. Make certain to create a user page for your bot account:
     1. Describe your bot's purpose, language bot script is written, what program(s) it uses (pywikipedia framework, etc)
     2. Describe whether it is manually assisted or automatically scheduled to run
     3. Describe who operates the bot, how to contact the operator
     4. Add the bot's user page to Category:Wikipedia bots
  2. Run your bot without a bot flag at least for a week, at intervals of 30 seconds or longer
• When requesting for approval of your bot, you have to demonstrate the following:
  1. The bot is harmless
  2. The bot is useful
  3. The bot is not a server hog
• If a sysop gives you approval for the bot and nobody opposes it, then a bot flag may be requested at m:Requests for bot status.
• After granted bot status, please modify the bot list on Wikipedia:Bot.

Submit your request.

Bot flag for Zwobot (Interwiki bot)

Hi,

Someone asked me on de:Benutzer Diskussion:Zwobot#jawiki: Bot flag to request a bot flag for ja:. I'm one of the PyWikipediaBot developers. My bot, Zwobot, has already been updating interwiki links for several months now on ja: (see contributions) and is doing changes in nearly every available language. Ugur Basak Bot

This bot is run on Turkish Wikipedia with flag to do interwiki links. It's already flagged on en:, fr:, es:, sv: and az: wikis. Bot is using multilogin function and do autonomous interwikis (don't remove interwikis or don't change if there is a conflict) --Ugur Basak 2006年3月29日 (水) 20:13 (UTC)

Tangobot

Tangobotは言語間リンクBotです。英語版と日本語版の同時ログインで、英語版では主に日本語版へのリンクのみを扱っています（enwikiのポリシーが異なるため）。日本語版ではすべての言語へのリンクを扱います。一週間の試用期間を行いましたので、Botフラグをいただければ幸いです。どうぞよろしくお願いいたします。 -- Tangotango 2006年4月27日 (木) 11:35 (UTC)

上記の英語版: Tangobot is a multi-logon interwiki linking bot. On the English Wikipedia, Tangobot mainly makes links to the Japanese Wikipedia (due to enwiki policy), but on the Japanese Wikipedia, it will add/remove all interwiki links as needed. I've tested the bot for one week now; please may I have a bot flag for the Japanese Wikipedia? (The bot has already been flagged on enwiki). Thank you! -- Tangotango 2006年4月29日 (土) 05:24 (UTC)

Bot flag for Vina-iwbot (Interwiki bot)

I would like to request a bot flag for my interwiki bot, Vina-iwbot. I am a sysop from the Chinese wiki, using the pywikipediabot in multi-login mode to add interwiki links. Bonjour,

Je suis désolé, mais je ne parle pas japonais.

Je suis un wikipedien français fr:User:Vargenau (ou je suis admistrateur), ici User:Vargenau, et je demande l'autorisation d'utiliser le robot User:Escarbot.

Ce robot sera utilisé uniquement pour faire des interwikis (avec pywikipedia interwiki.py), principalement sur des communes, cantons, départements français.

This robot will only be used to made interwikis (using pywikipedia interwiki.py), mainly on French communes, districts and departments.
