English: Khao man kai is the Thai version of Hainanese chicken rice. It is rice boiled with garlic and oil in a light chicken broth, and which is served with slices of boiled chicken, a bowl of chicken broth, and, in the Thai version, a dipping sauce containing fermented yellow bean paste, chopped ginger, chopped Thai chilli peppers and thick soy sauce.
