English: An image with the geocentric (Earth centered) path of the interstellar comet 2I/Borisov from 1600 to 2500. This ISO is moving very rapidly, with a velocity of infinity of ~32.3 km/sec. and so the parallactic spirals caused by the Earth's orbital motion get small quickly.
The 2I/Borisov position at various dates are indicated on this image, including the 5 precovery images found by the Zwicky Transient Factory, the date of its discovery by Gennady Borisov, and the positions at its perihelion (closest approach to the Sun) and closest approach to the Earth.
