English: Sandai sugi (three-generation Sugi) on Yakushima. The first tree broke about 1,500 years ago, another tree grew on its stump and was felled about 350 years ago, and the latest tree grew on top of that. Such second and third generation trees are common in Yakushima. This one is on the tracks to Jomon Sugi.
