English: Camphor tree (Camphor officinarum) is an evergreen tree with an aromatic odor. Its bark is deeply furrowed. Without stipules, its alternate single leaves are chartaceous in ovate, broadly ovate to elliptic shapes. With three main veins and 2 conspicuous glands in veins axils at base, the leaf has a wavelike edge and a surface glossy on the upper and gray on the lower. Its panicles grow on the top of branches producing hermaphrodite flowers with 6 greenish white perianth segments. With 9 stamens, it fruits look globose berries and possess persistent calyx, as well as its color turns to black from green while matured.
