エメラルドタブレットはヘルメス文書としてのエメラルドタブレットとＭドリール博士訳のエメラルドタブレットは違うものである可能性があります。もう少し研究してから追加致します。

ライデン・パピルスについて

『1828年にエジプトのテーベの墳墓から発見されたライデン・パピルスには、ギリシャ語のエメラルド・タブレットが含まれていた』という記述ですが、有志の方による和訳を読んでも該当する場所が見つかりません。英語版ライデン・パピルスにもそのような記述は確認できません。出典をみると1985年に発行された雑誌で現在入手することは困難です。新たな Wikipedia:信頼できる情報源が見つかるまでコメントアウトさせていただきます。--Sazanamiya（会話） 2015年9月17日 (木) 00:04 (UTC)

エメラルド・タブレットとライデン・パピルスにかんする日本語文献での初出はおそらく、澁澤龍彦『黒魔術の手帖』（昭和35-36年の雑誌連載をまとめた本）で、その後に訳出されたK. セリグマン『魔法 - その歴史と正体』（昭和50年）にも同様のことが記されています。澁澤龍彦はセリグマンの原書を参照したのかもしれません。現在出典として挙げられている日本語文献は、澁澤かセリグマンの記述を鵜呑みにしてそのまま掲載したのだと思われます。管見の限り、錬金術にかんする学術性のある翻訳文献にはこの説への言及はみられません。最近翻訳されたローレンス・M・プリンチーペの近著には「ギリシア語の原型や〔略〕初期の言及・引用は存在しない」（ヒロ・ヒライ訳『錬金術の秘密』40-41頁）とあり、これは上記の説と矛盾します。プリンチーペのこの記述は近代ドイツの科学史家ユリウス・ルスカによる史料博捜を踏まえたもののようです。ライデン・パピルスにかんするこの説の外国語文献での初出まではわかりませんが、事実誤認から始まって、それが引用され孫引きされていったものかとも想像されます。セリグマンよりも著名な科学史家のほうが信頼度は高いでしょうし、コメントアウトは妥当だと思います。--Doomreaper（会話） 2019年1月19日 (土) 04:52 (UTC)
