- I don't get your point. Today, Jose Cruz Jr. is called Jose Cruz Jr. both in English and Japanese. The father Jose used to be called Jose Cruz, but turned to be called Sr. because his son followed the same career. It's that simple. They are using the suffix Sr.-Jr. instead of I-II.
