翻訳と履歴継承の問題

この記事の定義部分と「特徴」の節ですが、明らかに英語版のen:Palynivoreの本文を翻訳してある程度の組み換えをほどこしたものになっており、履歴継承の問題があります。また、訳文にかなりの誤訳が認められます。

In zoology, a palynivore is an herbivorous animal which selectively eats the nutrient-rich pollen produced by flowering plants, including gymnosperms. Most true palynivores are insects or mites. The category in its strictest application includes essentially all bees, and a few different kinds of wasps, as pollen is often the only solid food consumed by all life stages in these insects (palynivorous mites and thrips typically feed on the liquid content of the pollen grains without actually consuming the exine). The list is expanded greatly if one takes into consideration species where either the larval or adult stage feeds on pollen, but not both; there are other wasps which are in this category, as well as many beetles, flies, butterflies, and moths. There is a vast array of different insects that will feed opportunistically on pollen, as will various birds and other nectarivores.

動物学において、花粉食動物とは裸子植物を含む顕花植物がつくりだす栄養価の高い花粉を選択的に食べる草食動物を指す。ほとんどの真正花粉食者は昆虫かダニである。この食性分類が最も厳密に適用されるのは、本質的にすべてのハナバチと、ごく少数のハナバチ以外のハチである。それは、これらの昆虫では花粉が全生活史で消費される唯一の固形の食物だからである。花粉食のダニとアザミウマでは、概して花粉の外膜を摂食することなく、花粉粒の内部の液体部分だけを摂取する。もし、幼虫と成虫の両方でなく、どちらかの段階だけで花粉を食べる種を含めると、花粉食動物のリストは大いに拡大する。この分類には甲虫、ハエ、チョウ、ガと同様に上記以外のハチが含まれる。蜜食動物である様々な鳥類や、その他の蜜食動物がそうであるように、機会的に花粉を食べる昆虫は膨大な数に上る。
