you seems to be mistaken, as there is nothing wrong with my bot. The modus operandi of an interwiki script is to propagate interwikis to pages that are already partially linked to one another (like, a japanese article is interwiki-linking to a french equivalent => the bot will add the interwikis on the french one, unless conflicting interwikis are found).

So unless specific options are used ( that are not meant to be used in automatic mode, as there's a risk of mismatch - I don't use these), there is no risk that they create links out of nowhere.

I noticed you removed the interwiki on enwiki, which is the correct thing to do (tho I don't really endorse the comment). But please beware that removing a bad interwiki must be done on every language it is present on, else the next interwiki script going through the page will just add it again.

The faulty interwiki has been on the enwiki verison of the page since 2004. Did the japanese page, by any chance, enlarged it's topic from "Ground effect in aircraft" to a more general "Ground effect" topic recently ? If so, the interwiki setup might not have been updated by the user accordingly.
