マイケル・ウルドリッジ（Michael Wooldridge, 1966 - ）はイギリスの計算機科学者。オックスフォード大学教授。専門は、計算論理学、ゲーム理論、社会選択理論。

生い立ち[編集]

1966年イングランド、ウェスト・ヨークシャーのウェイクフィールド生まれ。ジョン・ウルドリッジ（John Wooldridge）とジェーン・ウルドリッジ（Jean Wooldridge）夫妻の次男。ジャニーヌ（Janine）と結婚し、リリー（Lily）とトム（Tom）の二人の子供に恵まれた。

来歴[編集]

1992年にマンチェスター大学で博士号を取得した。学位論文タイトルは、The Logical Modelling of Computational Mulitagent Systems。同年に、マンチェスター・メトロポリタン大学（Manchester Metropolitan University）にて講師（lecturer）の職を得る。1996年にロンドン大学クイーン・メアリー（Queen Mary and Westfield College）に移り、1998年に同大学の上級講師（senior lecturer）になった。1999年には、リバプール大学計算機科学科の教授として移籍し、2001年から2005年まで同学科長、2008年から2011年まではSchool of Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Computer Scienceの学部長を歴任した。2012年には、オックスフォード大学の計算機科学科に移籍し、2015年に学部長に就任した。

2006 ACM/SIGART Autonomous Agents Research Award. For: significant and sustained contributions to the research on autonomous agents and multi agent systems. In particular, Dr. Wooldridge has made seminal contributions to the logical foundations of multi-agent systems, especially to formal theories of cooperation, teamwork and communication, computational complexity in multi-agent systems, and agent-oriented software engineering. ^[2]
