内大脳静脈は、大脳半球の深部を流出する深部大脳静脈群deep cerebral veins に含まれる2本の静脈であり、それぞれの内大脳静脈は、間脳孔付近で上視床静脈と上脈絡膜静脈が結合して形成されている。
each internal cerebral vein is formed near the interventricular foramina by the union of the superior thalamostriate vein and the superior choroid vein.
それらは互いに平行に後方へ走り、第3脳室の脈絡膜の層の間を通り、脳梁の脾臓の下を通る。layers of the tela chorioidea of the third ventricle, and beneath the splenium of the corpus callosum, 両者は合流して短い幹、ガレンの大脳静脈を形成し、合流する直前でそれぞれが対応する大脳基底静脈を受け取る。
where they unite to form a short trunk, the great cerebral vein of Galen; just before their union each receives the corresponding basal vein.
