Laura Brennan (9 September 1992 – 20 March 2019), died Irish HPV vaccine campaigner.

[編集]Laura Brennan, from Hillview in County Clare, Ireland. She worked as a sales representative. She had a huge interest in sport and won an All-Ireland Féile medal in 2006. She had three older brothers[1].
She was diagnosed with cervical cancer stage 2B at 24.
she works in the last 18 months to help protect other young women from cervical cancer. And join in the HSE’s HPV Vaccine campaign. She was receiving the inaugural Patient Advocate Medal from the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland, and most recently being named Clare Person of the Year.
"This illness is devastating and it’s going to take my life, but the good news is there’s a vaccine that you can get that prevents it. HPV caused my cancer. I just wanted parents to know there is an alternative," she said.[2][3][4]
The vaccine increased from 51% in 2017 - when she first contacted the organization - to 70% in 2019[5].
She died aged 26, at University Hospital Limerick.
