『ショベルナイト』（Shovel Knight）はYacht Club Games開発、販売の2D横スクロールアクションゲームである。 Kickstarterでクラウドファンディングによる資金調達に成功し、2014年6月にMicrosoft Windows、ニンテンドー3DS、Wii U向けに最初の発売となった。同年の9月にMac OS Xならびに2015年10月にLinux向けに移植、2015年の4月にPlayStation 3、PlayStation 4、PlayStation Vita、Xbox Oneへ、2015年9月にAmazon Fire TVへ、2017年3月にNintendo Switch向けに発売となった。日本市場向けには任天堂を発売元とし、選択できる言語に日本語を追加したニンテンドー3DS版およびWii U版が2016年6月30日に発売となった。（より詳細な発売日の情報はTemplateを参照のこと。） 本ソフトはNintendo_Entertainment_System（ファミリーコンピュータ）向けに開発されたプラットフォームアクションから、ゲームプレイおよびグラフィックの影響受けている特徴がある。高い評価を受け、さまざまな賞を受賞した。2つ追加のキャンペーンの配信を受けて、発売時からショベルナイトの物語について『ショベル・オブ・ホープ』（Shovel of Hope）と副題のレトロニムが付与された。併せてすべてのキャンペーンを含む全編についてShovel Knight: Treasure Troveと改題した。（日本語向けの題はショベルナイトを継続している。）
