ファウスト・セルシニャニ（イタリア語: Fausto Cercignani イタリア語発音: [ˈfausto tʃertʃiɲˈɲani]、1941年3月21日 - ）は、イタリアの学者、評論家、詩人。

活動

ファウスト・セルシニャニは様々なイタリアの大学でドイツ語学と英語史を教えた。ミラノ大学ではドイツ文学を教えた[1]。

英語学の分野では、ウィリアム・シェイクスピアに関する研究でよく知られている[2]。その方面での代表作は Shakespeare's Works and Elizabethan Pronunciation（クラレンドン・プレス、1981年）である。

多くの著名な作家に対して文学批評を行った。言語学の分野では、歴史的な観点からゲルマン語派、特にゲルマン祖語、ゴート語、英語、ドイツ語を研究している。文学に関する国際的な学術誌 Studia austriaca （e-ISSN 2385-2925、p-ISSN 1593-2508）および Studia theodisca（e-ISSN 2385-2917、p-ISSN 1593-2478）の編集長を務めている[1]。

詩作

セルシニャニの詩は7冊の小冊子として出版され、大部の書物 Scritture. Poesie edite e inedite（Genesi、2015年）にまとめられた。ある批評家は、その詩は「甘美」ながら「鋼のように硬く輝く」と評し[3]、別の批評家は「抽象を通じて身体性 (physicality) を再構築している」と述べている[4]。

セルシニャニはまた、詩の自己翻訳（英語版）を実験している[5]。
