『Go for Broke! ハワイ日系二世の記憶』は、2012年に制作された日本のドキュメンタリー映画。 アメリカ陸軍の第442連隊戦闘団・第100歩兵大隊・MISに所属した、ハワイのNisei退役軍人31名と3名の二世女性の証言を集めたドキュメンタリー映画で、2012年の「ホノルル・フィルム・アヲード Honolulu Film Awards」にてハワイ映画部門の最高賞「ベスト・オブ・ハワイ」を受賞し、同じく2012年の「マウイ映画祭 Maui Film Festival」では公式に選ばれワールドプレミア上映された。マウイ映画祭での上映の際には、マウイ中の二世退役軍人が、正装をして集まり、マウイのメディアの注目を集め、「アカク・マウイ Akakū Maui Community Media」でも取り上げられた。
監督は松元裕之 Hiroyuki Matsugen Matsumotoが務め、脚本・カメラ・編集も一人でこなしている。音楽は、日本のハワイアン音楽の第一人者であるバッキー白片Jr.、山内雄喜、サンディーたちが「ハワイでは二世のお世話になった」と映画の主旨に賛同し楽曲を無償で提供してくれた。エンディングは、サンディーの歌う『ラプソディ・ラニ』。 ナレーションは、ロバート・ハリスが担当している。 制作は、特定非営利活動法人NAC-J。
"Go for Broke! Memories of Hawai'i Japanese Nisei" is a Japanese documentary film produced in 2012. A documentary film that collects the testimony of 31 Hawaii Nisei veterans and 3 Nisei women who belonged to the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, 100th Infantry Battalion, and MIS of the U.S. Army. Awarded Honolulu Film Awards, the highest award in the Hawaii film category, "Best of Hawaii", and was officially selected and screened at the 2012 Maui Film Festival.
