メタイルルス族（メタイルルスぞく、Metailurini)はアフリカ・アジア・ヨーロッパ・北アメリカに中新世から更新世にかけて生息した、絶滅した大型の剣歯虎の族^[1]。

メタイルルス族で最も有名な属はディノフェリスとメタイルルスである。メタイルルス族の犬歯はウンピョウ属のものよりも長かったが、スミロドン族やホモテリウム族のものには及ばなかった。歯は平たいというよりも円錐形であり、特に上顎の犬歯がやや伸びていた。剣歯虎全般がサーベル・トゥースド・キャットと呼ばれるのに対してメタイルルス族はシミター・トゥースド・キャットとも呼ばれる。他の絶滅した大半のネコ科動物と同様に、メタイルルス族の種の大多数の化石は断片的であるが、メタイルルス族の系統的位置と分類はプロアイルルスやプセウダエルルス（英語版）から派生したネコ科動物として受け入れられている^[2]。メタイルルス族は過去にヒョウ亜科との関連も提唱されていたが、ネコ科動物の中では長らくマカイロドゥス亜科に属すると考えられてきた^[3]^[4]。全ての系統解析で後者の分類が支持されているが、メタイルルス族は単系統群でない可能性がある^[4]^[5]^[6]。
