ラメルハート賞[編集]

「人間の認知の理論的基礎への貢献を称えるデビッド・E・ラメルハート賞」は2001年に創設。認知科学者デビッド・E・ラメルハートの業績を記念し、ノーベル賞に相当するものを認知科学に取れ入れたものである。毎年「人間の認知の理論的基礎へと大きな現代的貢献をなした個人またはチーム」へと贈られる[1]。授賞式は毎年「認知科学協会大会 the Cognitive Science Society meeting」を舞台とし、受賞者が記念講演を行う慣例である。受賞者は賞金10万ドルを受け取る。授賞式の締めくくりに翌年の受賞者が発表される。賞に資金提供したのは Robert J. GlushkoPamela Samuelson 財団である。

ラメルハート賞委員会は認知科学協会とは独立である。とはいえ、認知科学協会はこの賞に関心を寄せる大勢の人々を擁しているのは確かである。
