RENOVA, Inc. is a company headquartered in Chuo, Tokyo, that develops and operates renewable energy power generation facilities.
Overview
[編集]The company develops and operates renewable energy power plants such as solar, biomass, wind, geothermal, and hydroelectric power. Since its founding in May 2000, it has consistently expanded its business in the environmental and energy sectors. In 2012, it fully entered the renewable energy business. Additionally, in 2022, it established the GX (Green Transformation) Headquarters to promote the development of new green businesses that contribute to decarbonization, such as small-scale distributed solar power, battery storage projects, and onshore wind power in Japan. The company has also started new ventures in the United States, beginning with an investment in Pathway Power Holdings. [3]
The publicly announced projects that are operational, under construction, or in development span 28 locations nationwide, with a total power generation capacity of 1.6 gigawatts (1,600 MW). Additionally, the company has established offices in five locations overseas—Singapore, South Korea, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Indonesia—further intensifying its international business development.
Origin of the Company Name
[編集]The name “RENOVA” is derived from the Latin word for “renew” (Renovarent). It also embodies the desire to be a new star (Nova) leading the realization of a renewable society.
